T-52 LONG RANGE AUXILIARY FUEL SYSTEM has been in service for thirty years. It has a protective, strong, stress resistant casing and F.A.A. quality approved components. These units are literally crafted to completion and rigidly inspected for long life and complete safety. A quality product from Tower Aerospace Inc., Nelson, British Columbia, Canada.

 

Tank

  • 52 U.S. Gallons Double Shell Composite Construction
  • Doubles as Rear Passenger Seat
  • External Fill Located Above Existing Filler Well
  • Internally Baffled to Prevent Sloshing and Increase Strength
  • Twin Fuel Pumps Provide 25 GPH Individually – 50 GPH Combined
  • External Pre-Flight Drain

 

Pumps

Twin pumps are provided which individually pump at approximately 30 GPH –  together 60 GPH enabling any combination of transfer required.

 

Installation

  • Initial Installation 8 Hours
  • Subsequent Installations 1 Hour
  • Installation Kit Contains All Required Hardware, Including a State of the Art

Digital Control Panel and Fuel Indication

  • Permanent Hardware Kit Available to Enable One Tank Unit to Service  Several Helicopters

 

Pre-Flight Drain

Independent pre-flight drain to assure no contaminants  enter primary tank, to be checked prior to each flight.

 

Plumbing

Outlet is plumbed directly to the filler of the main tank.

Accessibility

System is designed to allow any normal maintenance
-100 hr. and 300hr. inspections without removal of tank.

Ease of fuel pump system maintenance and inspection is accomplished by an access panel in the side of the tank. Fuel system does not need to be drained to change the pumps.

 

Electrical

Console located switch box is provided complete with push to start/stop switches, circuit breaker, fuel quantity gauge, and power lights.

 

Vent

All vent and drain lines double-jacketed. Any overfill spills go outside of fuselage.

 

Testing

  • FAA Drop Tower Tested In Four Positions
  • Expansion Space, Sump Space, Flow Rates and Vent System Tested From
  • 20,000 Ft in Maximum Auto-rotation
  • Pressure Tested
  • Immersion Tested
  • Fluid Volume Tested
  • Electrical Operating and Measuring Systems Tested
